Amidst recurring calls for clarity, an Ask-Me-Anything or AMA session with Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek was held on 25 March 2025.
While Kris spoke about the project’s vision and building an aggressive roadmap for 2025, many felt that handling of the 70 Billion reverse burn was inadequately addressed.
Here is a quick recap of what was discussed:
Market Outlook & Strategy
Kris pointed out that Crypto.com hit record revenue in the three months after elections (Q1 of 2025), matching its entire earnings in 2023. The company expects to reach 150M users by Q2.
Despite the delay of the altseason and slowdown experienced in early 2025, Kris explained that we are in a fundamentally new market structure that displays foundations for long term growth.
“Our ambition is to be the fastest shipping company in the industry, and of course a lot of focus is going to be on ETFs, a lot of focus is going to be on our onchain products….,” the exec said.
He also highlighted that Crypto.com is excited to be in a partnership with Truth.Fi. He added that the partnership is a critical new flow of capital into the market.
CRO & Cronos Strategy
Kris addressed the debate around CRO and Cronos, clarifying they are separate entities but aligned in mission.
“…the original 2021 token burn, I view it as defensive; now, we have strong support from the new administration, the war on crypto is over […] and there is need for an aggressive investment to win,” Kris said.
With favourable market conditions, the goal is to Make CRO Great Again via ETF inclusion, sovereign digital reserves, and bringing institutional capital to Cronos.
Just like Crypto.com re-invested billions of dollars to build a recognizable brand, the executive believes, Cronos will have to invest billions to be a top five chain.
“We can’t think cents when we should be thinking dollars,” he added
Regulatory & U.S. Focus
Strong ties with the U.S. regulatory landscape were highlighted, alongside upcoming legislation and institutional alignment. Crypto.com aims to lead in on-chain finance infrastructure and capital formation, to be one of the key beneficiaries of the new legislation.

Many on the YouTube Comments of the AMA directly expressed their disappointment:

Some X posts backed this view too:
Others put forth that Kris must be held accountable for how CRO performs in the next year:
However, the emphasis on broader vision seemed to appeal to many:
Thus, while the roadmap impressed many with its ambition, the community response has been mixed—especially around Cronos and CRO, where opinions still remain sharply divided
